It’s a while since I blogged – I don’t know where the time has gone!
As we come to the end of another action packed year, I would like to take the opportunity to thank each and every one of the Roseberry family for their commitment and dedication to making Roseberry a fabulous place to be.
I am always in awe of how hard teachers and teaching assistants work to give children the best learning experiences every day, even when their batteries are running low and they are in need of a holiday! They work tirelessly and with selfless dedication to ensure that all children learn through fun and make progress in a happy, safe and stimulating environment.
Our Family Mentor, Lesley, supports and nurtures children and their families. She offers support and TLC when it’s needed most, and always with a kind word and a smile.
Our office staff work extremely hard behind the scenes to ensure that our school operates efficiently – they are a great support to me in my work.
Mr Gardner, the caretaker, has had another brilliant year – nothing is ever too much trouble and he goes above and beyond the call of duty to ensure that our school is a safe place to be.
Lunch time and kitchen staff keep our children healthy and safe and the cleaning team makes sure that each classroom is ready for a new day of learning, even coping with glitter covered floors during the festive period!
Governors have challenged and supported the work that we do, giving their time freely to help me to plan the strategic direction of our school, holding all to account and ensuring that policies are put into practice effectively. They are our critical friends.
Our children are amazing people – they strive to do their best and support one another’s learning. They view Roseberry as their second home and feel a great sense of pride in belonging to our school family.
Parents and Grandparents are so important to us – they are partners in children’s learning and we value the positive relationship we have with them. They are supportive of the work that we do. A dedicated team of parents work behind the scenes as key members of RAFT to ensure that our children have the little extras that the limited school budget can’t provide.
The many volunteers and students who give their time and energy to support our children do so because they enjoy being part of our school family, and we enjoy welcoming them! Leading the Roseberry family is a joy and a privilege.
There’s never a day I don’t want to come to school. Our people make Roseberry the amazing place it is and I feel very lucky, indeed, to be a part of it.
Three cheers for Roseberry! Have a great holiday – see you on 3rd September!
