This week, we have been street detectives! We visited the village to investigate how different buildings have changed over time, thought about what works well in Great Ayton, and what we think the village needs.

We also interviewed Mr Thompson to find out what Roseberry School was like in the past when he was a teacher.  We discovered that there used to be an outdoor swimming pool that used to be freezing cold, school dinners were delivered in a van because there was no kitchen, there was no top school until 1975, and there was no homework because school didn’t finish until 4pm every day! Mr Thompson used to have 48 children in his class, with no teaching assistant!
