This week, Year 2 have been learning all about New York.
We have:
*used map skills to locate the UK and the USA, New York State, and the 5 boroughs of New York City.
*used watercolour paints to create beautiful pictures of New York State’s National bird, the eastern bluebird.
*learned about what the experience would have been like for immigrants arriving at Ellis Island.
*created a NYC skyline.
*made American pancakes.
*written pages for a holiday brochure.
*created adverts for our own pancake houses.
*tasted some popular American foods and recorded data in a tally chart and bar graph.
