Morning peeps,
I hope you're all well and happy.
It was lovely to receive some more photographs yesterday of what you're all up to - looks like you're having fun!
Today, if you would like, why not complete one of the grammar and maths activities in your packs? You can also log on to Mathletics and Reading Eggs if you haven't already done so. Remember to try to learn the Year 3/4 common exception words, too! There's also the Times Table Rockstars competition against Mrs Davies' class - let's aim to beat them - it's currently VERY close.
If this something of interest and you would like to give it go, I have attached a graphic organiser , which informs you about the different types of Greek soldiers in Ancient Greece. Why not choose one solider to write about? (you can do them all if you would prefer!). It doesn't have to be written up on paper, how about typing it up on a tablet?
Have a little look at this model and hopefully this will help with how you set it out:
A peltast is a type of Greek soldier (also known as foot soldier). They carry a long spear called a javelin, which is hurled at the enemy. If someone attempts to attack them, they protect themselves by using a shield covered with animal skin. Other foot soldiers have shields made out of wicker. There armor and javelin are very light, which means they can move quickly and skillfully around the battlefield. Peltast soldiers can run fast, and you would certainly not like to meet them face to face! Would you like to be a foot soldier?
Remember to get some fresh air at some point, have fun with your toys and games and keep smiling!!
Have a lovely day.
Miss Harmar :-)
