On Friday, I was informed that Miss Lindo had been successful at interview for a permanent position in another school. This means that Miss Lindo will be leaving us at the end of this week. I know that many of you will be saddened by this news but also understand that the offer of a permanent post is one that cannot be refused in these uncertain times. On behalf of our Roseberry family, I wish Miss Lindo well for the future and thank her for her hard work this term.
I am delighted to inform you that, from 4th January, Mrs Mitchell will become our new Year One teacher. Mrs Mitchell is known within school and has an excellent track record of providing exciting teaching and learning opportunities for children of all ages. She has high standards both of learning and behaviour and I know that the children in Year One will thrive academically, socially and emotionally in her care. Mrs Mitchell will be with our Year One children all day today, getting to know the children and enabling them to get to know her and feel comfortable with someone 'new' in their classroom. Mrs Mitchell will be with us tomorrow, too, planning exciting learning opportunities for when our Year One children return after Christmas.
I understand that change is sometimes difficult, but I am sure that our Year One children will thoroughly enjoy being with Mrs Mitchell from January. Mrs Mitchell will be at the gate at hometime today and in the morning, should you wish to meet her, and will be posting a short introductory video on Teams for you and your children to watch.
Thank you for your understanding and support at this time.
