We are constantly reviewing our practice and now have the following offer for live video contact with children learning at home:
Every morning there is a video briefing for all children. This enables children to find out what is expected of them throughout the day and to ask questions about the work that has been set. It’s also a great opportunity for the class to come together and for children at home to see their teacher and friends. Just go to your class Teams page at the allocated time and click on the ‘Join’ button! We’d love to see EVERY child attending each morning, wherever possible, please.
Mrs Barker’s class: 8.50am
Mrs Mitchell’s class: 9.00am
Mrs Kearns’ class: 9.00am
Mrs Charlton’s class: 9.15am
Mr Moores’s class: 9.15am
Mr Bourne’s class: 8.45am
Mrs Meadows’ class: 9.30am (10am on a Friday)
Mrs Murton’s class: 9.10am
Every Monday at 1.15pm and Friday at 9.30am, there is an assembly on our Teams assembly channel. Everyone is welcome to attend. It’s a lovely way for our whole school to be together as a family.
Children are able to request a live video help call from their teacher or Teaching Assistant if they need support or guidance during a lesson - they just need to ask via the Teams chat thread on their Teams channel. It does help if children complete the set work during the same time that children in school are doing so ie everyone completes maths at the same time. Teachers will let children know their timetable during the morning briefing.
Each class has a weekly video catch up session with me. Days and times for these are subject to change, but teachers will let children know through the morning briefing when these will take place.
Finally, don’t forget that Friday afternoon is non screen afternoon. A range of activities for children to choose from is on their class Teams page. Children are not expected to upload their work onto Teams, but will be asked to ‘Show and Tell’ what they have done during my catch up session each week. What a great way to share children’s achievements! Everyone across the school has the same activity list so that siblings may work together. Have fun, folks!
