Bug hotel
Over the past 2 weeks, the children have created their own ‘bug hotels’ using recyclable materials. First, they read about what makes a good bug friendly hotel and the types of materials needed. Next, the children followed a set of instructions step-by-step to create their own hotels using rolled up newspaper and clean empty bottles. The children worked exceptionally well to stuff their bottles full of paper to create a warm and suitable environment for mini beasts to thrive. Afterwards, the children chose a sheltered location in the school playground to safely place their hotels and waited patiently to see who would move in. Well done everyone, you all made some fantastic hotels for the mini beasts to enjoy. Who’s booking a room?
