The children have enjoyed the final project for their topic - Pharaohs.

First, they had to practise their embalming skills. Working with a fellow assistant, they practised wrapping 'oiled linens' around parts of the body to make sure that they had the skills required.

Next, the children found out how the removed organs should be stored and the sarcophagus needed to be decorated.

Finally, the children made an animal head lid for a canopic jar so that the organs could be preserved safely for the afterlife.

Great work everyone!
