We had a lovely day today! We started the day with our Friday celebration assembly, which is always a joy, and learned a silly chant, Boom Chakka Boom! We congratulated children who had been awarded Pupil of the Week, and those who had been nominated for the Act of Kindness and lunch time awards. Reading certificates and bookmarks were given to children who had read 20, 40, 60, 80 or 100 books. What an achievement!

We sang Happy Birthday to the children who have celebrated this week and found out our Scores on the Doors (this is where teachers award their class points out of ten for behaviour, manners and attitude to learning). Our Team Captains chose their children for 'Captains' Choice', congratulating children who behaved beautifully throughout our assembly. Finally, the Team Points were announced, with the Resolution (Red) Team having the most points this week. The cheers from the Resolution Team were deafening!

It was lovely to be able to celebrate the success of Jessica and Jake, as they shared their swimming awards with our school family. They're doing really well and we feel very proud of them, indeed!

After assembly, each class had the treat of being with Mrs Davis for a 'Silly Sports' session. They played silly games with hoops, balls and balloons and had LOTS of fun!

Thank you to everyone who bought a red nose to raise money for Comic Relief today. The money we raised will, I hope, put a smile on someone's face.
