The children began the week reading the Story of Buddha. They then created a comic page re-telling the story.

Next they found out about Buddhist symbols and what they represent. From this, they produced beautiful fact pages.

Linked to this, the children drew lotus flowers, representing the journey through life to enlightenment.

Using clay, they made their own Mala beads and designed patterns to go on them. These show we are all connected and one cannot exist without another. When they are used focussing on breath and a mantra, they create positive spiritual energy.

Finally, the children found out about The Eightfold Path, which consists of eight areas of life, that people focus on towards the path of Buddhism. They then made their own Dharma wheel.

What an amazing week of work!
