It was lovely to see how excited everyone was on their return to school! I enjoyed hearing all about their wonderful summer holidays, looking at all the children’s brand new shoes, uniforms and hair cuts!
The children settled quickly into their day. First, we talked about the class rules and how these were important to ensure we all have a fabulous year, with lots learning, making great friends and trying to be helpful and kind.
Next, in maths we began working with our learning partners. We worked collaboratively to sort objects into different groups. The children enjoyed getting their hands on the apparatus and had lots of sorting fun.
We had a fabulous first day, I’m looking forward to seeing all the progress and learning that takes place this year!
