Welcome back.
This is a list of all the things you need with you at school!
Every day – book bags. If children are reading a book on the reading scheme, please make sure that this is in school each day. Children not on the reading scheme are welcome to bring in a book from home to read or borrow one from the classroom or school library. All children should have their reading record with them.
Monday – spelling books. Children will be tested on their spellings each Monday and given the next week’s list to learn. In class, throughout the week, we will also be working on these. If home and school work together to learn the spellings, hopefully children will find learning them easier! Spelling lists will be posted on the blog under the Spelling tab.
Children need to bring their reading records in every Monday for me to sign to say they have read at least four times during the previous week.
Wednesday – PE kit.
Friday – PE kit if children are taking part in the PE based Golden Time activity. Children will be set a Mathletics every week and a Reading Eggspress and handwriting task fortnightly. Reminders will be put under the homework tab.
Children will need to bring a change of clothes for any after school activities that they do e.g. with Tom Burke Academy. This does not need to be the school PE uniform.
It would be useful if children had an old shirt/apron that could be left in their PE bags for when we do art activities. There are spares in the classroom just in case!
