Space: What’s out there?

This week, the children are enjoying another SAW week (science, art and writing) with the theme of Space. Yesterday, the children used mod roc to construct their own aliens. They firstly used a plastic bottle and newspaper to form the basic shapes, followed by covering the whole structure in mod roc. These will then be painted when they are dry.

Today, the children have been learning about the planets in our Solar System. They have then worked with their learning partner to create a collage using buttons. I think they look very effective!
