We have had an amazing week! Our SAW (Science, Art, Writing) week was all based around ‘Space’. We decided to concentrate on the moon and we had a great time!
We wrote poems about the moon using descriptive language and similes. We found out all about the moon and space and wrote our own fact files. We then looked at a painting by Kandinsky, which made us think of planets, and recreated our own in collage. We then found out all about the phases of the moon and made flip books to animate the process. In addition, we created a piece of artwork showing the phases of the moon and we used marbling inks to create a ‘space’ effect. Finally, we designed persuasive posters, encouraging people to have a holiday on the moon!
Phew! What a busy week!
