Today the children enjoyed learning all about a historical hero, called Rosa Parks. The children found out that she was a hero because she stood up for the equality of all people no matter what race or gender. Everyone was surprised that people could be treated so badly just because of the colour of their skin.
Alfie said, " She was very brave, she stood up for everyone"
Isla T said, " She's a superhero because she cares about everyone"
Dexter said, " She didn't give up on what she believed even though she was arrested for doing the right thing!"
