We are reading a story called 'Have you filled a bucket today?'
This story is all about the invisible buckets that everyone carries around with them. When we are kind to our friends we add love to their bucket and they add love to ours. If we do anything that is unkind then love comes out of our buckets.
We talked about what we could do to fill our buckets.
"We could share things" said Alfie
"We could help each other" said Rosalie
"Be kind" said Lilly-Mae
"Don't hurt anybody" said Olivia
"Give our friends a cuddle" said Luca
We have a shiny silver bucket in our classroom and we are working hard to try and fill it with lots of love and kindness. When we do anything nice for our friends we get to choose a star or a love heart to add to the bucket. If we are unkind then we have to take one out. If we fill the bucket with love we will get to have a special treat.
I hope the bucket stays nice and full.
