This morning, the children have been learning about Rosalind Franklin. She was a successful scientist who discovered the structure of DNA, however her work was stolen by two other scientists and as a result they won the Nobel Prize. The children were shocked that she was never awarded it as it was her work.

This afternoon, Mrs Van Loo (one of our children's parents) kindly volunteered her time to come and talk about the job that she does in a chemical lab. She then brought all of the equipment in for them to make their own bath fizzers - they absolutely loved it!

Today has inspired a few of them to pursue a job in science.
