Good morning everyone!
Here are a few activities that could keep you busy today!
Listening to the YouTube clip of the story Anna Hibiscus song.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4Y1o8IEtpgQ
Try and write some speech- What could Anna be saying to her mother and her other family members?
Continue working through your maths activities- why not try some work on doubling and halving. Get resourceful- use stones, twigs, flowers from the garden. try sharing them with your family!
If you're feeling creative why not research which animals live in Brazil. See if you can create your own piece of artwork- Don't forget to add them to the blog so I can see all of your fabulous work!
Your child also has access to Mathletics and Reading Eggs.
www.mathletics.com
www.readingeggs.com
Carol Voderman has a good website for 4-11 year olds - www.mathsfactor.com
The BBC bitesize is another fabulous tool which covers all areas - www.bbcbitesize.com
I access a site called Twinkl - www.twinkl.co.uk which has some lovely resources and activities which again cover all areas of the curriculum. The company have allowed parents to subscribe to the activities without paying a subscription fee during this time of school closures. This site does require a printer if you wanted to physically use the worksheets but if you don't have one it does give you a good idea of the kinds of activities you may be able to re-create at home.
Please don't overload your children with too many activities, just pick and choose the ones you feel your children will enjoy. Also the school day has many opportunities for down time and free play so please don't feel guilty if your child is not doing adult led learning.
Have a great day!
