Story starter!
She gritted her teeth and began the climb.
With her vulnerable young perched precariously on her back as she ascended the branch, the extra weight caused her paws to tremble, and her sensitive whiskers to twitch at the strain.
Now that their nest had gone, and storm clouds gathering overhead, she was desperate to find a new location to begin building again. It was their only chance…

They are often found in forests where leaves fall often and are usually near a water source

There perfect nesting place is somewhere hidden away and safe like in rock piles, logs or tree hollows.

She climbs down to the bottom of the tree until she reaches the floor. She desperately looks around for shelter for her and her babies. As she looks around, she finds a fruit that is lying on the floor. So she quickly finds a sheltered place to leave her babies while she goes to get the fruit to share and eat. Since the nest has fallen out of the tree, the mother needs to find a new place to put her nest as quickly as she can. She is scared that the babies will get too cold and die so she must act fast! She looks around and spots a tree with an abandoned nest that would be perfect. She has the tough decision on whether to leave the babies where they are so she can look by herself or to take them with her. If she takes them with her, she might not have the energy to climb up and get to the nest but if she leaves them where they are, then they could get too cold and die! What should she do?
Possums do not build their own nests or shelters, instead, they take other nests that have been abandoned by other animals like skunks or foxes. They also take cover in old buildings, sheds, in between rocks, in brush piles, in hollow trees and even fallen logs.
Possums have poor eyesight and sense of hearing, so they need to rely on their sense of smell during the hunt. Luckily their sense of smell is excellent. I think humans use the sense of sight the most.

A perfect nesting place would be a sheltered spot which is near a water source . Another great spot would be in a near bracken as they could use it to make a nest out of .

I think their nest has been blown away as a result of the start saying another storm was brewing which could resemble that their habitat is stormy . At this moment in time i think the mother possum is trying to urge herself on and attempting to give herself confidence in climbing the tree safely. In my opinion one of the middle possums has the best seat due to the fact that the odds on them falling of the mothers back is less . The sense that we humans use most is our sight because we use this sense all the time and every day of the week .

I think there nest has fallen of the tree due to bad weather.
I think the mother will be very worried and just want to keep her kids safe.
I think the one sat in the middle has the best seat because the possum has the others around it.
I think eye sight is the sense we use most because if we didn't we wouldn't be able to see and do things.
I think a good place for the possums to build there new nest would be in a small tree that was not to high.
