Happy Monday everyone!

Thank you everyone that has joined us so far on our Microsoft Teams page, it has been lovely to welcome you. If you are having difficulty accessing our class Teams page then please do let me know.  We will be posting our work on Teams so we need everyone to have access to it. From the tasks that are set, the work that you are expected to complete will also be handed in on Teams when you finish it.

We will continue to save work on the ‘Files’ section on Teams for you to complete. However, tomorrow (Tuesday) we will post further information on Teams of how to send  your completed work to me. Don’t forget what a great team we all are – if someone posts their work, please share in their success and make any comments you make; kind, specific, meaningful and supportive. This is a difficult time for all of you at the moment working as independent learners and I have been really impressed with your resilience, so we will need that amazing team work that you show at school to shine through on our Teams page. With this in mind, we have set some ground rules for using our class Teams page.

Our Class Teams Rules

Our class Teams page is going to be just like the classroom, where we share information and become brilliant learners! Whilst it is lovely to have a catch up with friends, the important information that is posted on there will get lost.  So with that in mind please see the following:

  • Do not add gifs or pictures unless it is relevant to what we are doing.
  • If leaving a comment for someone please make sure it is kind, specific, meaningful and ALWAYS supportive of each other.
  • Please do add photos or information of other things that you have created, activities you have done at home, or things you have seen during your daily exercise. This doesn’t have to be related to the project for that week, but things that you would like to share – a good way to think about it is….. Would you put your hand up and tell the class the information? E.g something you saw of interest. Or would you not… e.g. what you had for lunch.  Another good way to think of if it is appropriate to post your information on Teams would be….. is it something you would say on the playground to each other?  Then this maybe isn’t the right thing for Teams. If you are going to post something on Teams that you would talk about in the classroom when learning - then go ahead we would love you to share it.

We have had some fantastic work already coming through on our class Teams page – well done! I can’t wait to see what everyone else produces.

Take care and keep persevering with your work – you can do this – you are brilliant!
