Week beginning 15th June
Happy Monday everyone!
There were some amazing ideas for your thrilling theme parks last week. This week we are going to build on those ideas and develop your park further. We will also be carrying on with our Reading Eggs, weekly maths work and seeing if we can become triumphant in our Times Table Rockstars battle!
Week 8 Project – Thrilling Theme Parks! (Part 2.)
Project 8 duration – 1 Week (hand in date Friday 19th June 3.00pm).
For this project, you will have three core tasks and then there are two other activities, with which I would like you to choose one further activity.
This Week’s project is based around maths, design technology and art.
** The second part of our project is going to use the household recycling that you have been collecting last week, to use this week in one of the core tasks. **
Project Overview
Last week you worked on creating a plan for your thrilling theme park, deciding on the attractions and amenities you would include whilst trying to stay within your budget of £5 million. This week you are going to look at calculating day to day essential costs and then decide how you will market your theme park alongside the costs that this would incur. New theme parks and designs often have some small scale-models made so people can share the designer’s vision. Our final bit of the project will be to make a 2D collage picture or 3D model of part or all of your theme park.
Go to our class Microsoft Teams page and click on the ‘Files’ tab to find the full project on ‘Week 8 – Thrilling Theme Parks Part 2’, to discover the next steps you will take to develop your Theme Park. The core task and suggested activities have been set for you to upload your work on to ‘Assignments’ when you have finished. Please also share your work on our Teams page so we can see your detailed budget planning, 2D and 3D theme park creations and your marketing decisions. You are such a creative class I can’t wait to see your work.
