Space Station Role Play

As part of our topic 'What happens when I am asleep' the children chose to have a Space Station rle play area.

We decorated the outside using tin foil to make it all shiny.

We have lots of different activities to do when we are in the Space Station.  We can put the moons into order of size, create repeating patterns of different space pictures, talk about the images of space, line up the aliens in order of size, weigh the different space objects to find out which is the heaviest and which is the lightest, put the space rocks into different groups of numbers.

Our favourite activity is to try to secure the nuts and bolts within the air lock.  This is very tricky as we can only move our hands a little bit with the big gloves on.
