We had a special visit today from a real life Viking during our first week of our topic Traders and Raders. Our visitor told us all about why he raided our country! Turns out we had lots to offer the Scandinavians. We began by looking at the main events that happened after the Romans left Briton and when the Anglo Saxons and the Vikings arrived. We have learned about how they were skillful sailors and how they were the first Europeans to travel to North America. We have researched longboats and then used our art skills to sketch and shade to give a 3D effect. What a busy first week back!
