This week we have been learning about Christian festivals focusing upon All Saints.We now know how to become a saint and created our own picture using oil pastels. Did you know that there are over 10,00 saints and that you have to be dead more than 5 years before you can become a saint?! We looked at the Patron Saints of the United Kingdom, learning about whenand how we celebrate their special days. We found out that the Union Jack flag is made up of the flags of St George, St Andrew and St Patrick, we made our own Union Jack flags using the collage technique. We read and re-told the story of St George and painted a picture depicting his battle against he dragon. Here are some images of our fabulous work and our wonderful culture board!
