This half term the children in year 3 and 4 have been learning new PE skills.
They have learned netball skills such as: how to pass and receive the ball, how score goals, how mark and block players on the opposite team and how to be supportive team players.
They have taken part in team games such as: ship to shore, ladders and beans. These games have helped the children develop their co-ordination, team building skills as well as listening skills.
In their circuit training sessions they have focussed on four types of exercises, different ways to travel, balance and co-ordination, ball control and alternative ways to travel. The children have learned how to warm up and cool down their bodies before and after exercise and how to perform different stretches in the correct way.
