We are all different, we are all special

This week we have been exploring our differences and talking about how we are all specialin our own way.

We shared books about diversity and we compared ourselves with eachother.  We thought that if everybody looked the same and liked the same things, then it would be very boring.

We shared the story of Elmer the Patchwork Elephant and had a go at creating our own.  We each had a seperate piece of patchwork and drew pictures of things we are good at and things that we like.  We labelled our pictures with simple sentences.

In the Design Area we made our own Elmer's using empty milk cartons.
