This afternoon we had lots of fun making our own lighthouses. We followed some simple instructions and created some wonderful work!
First, we had to wrap the stripped template around our bottles and attach it securely with sellotape.
Next, we got our yellow paper and our plastic cups. We had to carefully fit the yellow paper into the cup; the paper represented the light shining out into the ocean. This part difficult, but with persistence and perseverance we managed it in the end.
Then, we had to think of a way to make the cup stick to the top of our lighthouse. Most of used sellotape tape some, of us tried glue but, when this didn’t work we resorted to using the tape like everyone else.
Finally, we had our wonderful lighthouses.
They really do look great and they certainly light up Miss Burley’s classroom!
