Today we looked at information about real life superheroes. These are heroes that are you just like you and me however, they also do amazing things every single day!
We learned about the Paralymic athlete Jade Jones. Jade is a T54 wheelchair racer from Middlesbrough. She trains twice, a day six days a week whilst she is studying a law degree at Teeside University.
Jade Jones took part in the Summer Paralympic Games in Rio, she became a para-triathlete and won gold medals at the European Championships in 2017 and at the Gold Coast Commonwealth Games in 2018.
The children were amazed that real life people just like them could also be superheroes!
Pippa said, " She is a hero because she didn't just think I can't do this, she kept on trying and didn't give up"
Sophia said, " Even though she is in a wheelchair she kept going, she is a superhero!"
Dexter said, " What an amazing person!"
