This morning the children listened to the story of Anna Hibiscus. In the story it talks about how Anna really enjoys watching her family make sweet potato mash for their lunch. The children wanted to know what sweet potato tasted like, so we made our own sweet potato mash.
The children used their peeling, cutting and mashing skills in order to make the food. Then they had chance to taste their creation.
Many of the children enjoyed the flavour, others were not very sure!
