This week, the children have been writing both emails and poetry, in role, for work based on the book 'Pig Heart Boy' by Malorie Blackman. For the emails, they had to think about how the characters were feeling and what they would put in an email to each other. I was impressed by the maturity that the children displayed in their writing! For the poetry, they had to write in rhyming couplets and it had to be written as if by the main character. He could talk about his heart or the girl he had a crush on - again, very mature and impressive!
