Our 'Time to Talk' session was extra special today as we had an enormous shell to explore.
We first thought of words to describe the size of the shell and of course our first thought was BIG.
We talked about different words that mean the same as big and could think of ........ massive ......... enormous .......... gigantic .......... ginormous ......... huge ....... and really, really, really big.
Then we talked about how we needed to be really careful when we held the shell as it was very precious and fragile. We talked about what these 2 words mean and promised to hold the shell really carefully.
We could hear lots of wonderful things when we held the shell close to our ears.
We could hear:
The sea splashing on the sand
A train driving past
Someone digging in the sand
It sounds like the toilet flushing
It sounds like a drain
Water splishing and splashing
The sea going swish
The waves
A hairdryer
The boats bobbing about.
Super listening guys!!!!
