Bedtime for Monsters

Our new theme is all about Night and Day.  We have been exploring what happens at Night time and what happens during the Day time.

We already knew that we go to bed at Night time and have been exploring the story Bedtime for Monsters by Ed Vere.

We got really creative and made our own representations of the character using lots of different media and materials.

We used pencils, paint, natural objects found in the outdoor area, playdough, the interactive board and even the peg boards.

In the story a monster is on a journey to come and find us ......... arrrrgghhh...... I wonder what he wants.

Here are some of our thoughts.

He wants to eat us, he wants to lick us, he might want to chase us and catch us.    Oh No!!!!!!!

In the story the monster carries a backpack and we thought about what a monster might carry in his backpack.  Can you see our thoughts in the photograph?

We can't wait to find out what happens next in the story.
