We have enjoyed our first week as historians, understanding what "prehistoric" means. We have learned some complicated names to describe the different parts of the Stone Age (paleolithic, mesolithic and neolithic), which is then followed by the Bronze Age and the Iron Age. We have tried to understand how long ago these ages were.
We have compared the features of these different ages and looked for evidence of prehistoric settlements from aerial photos, noting that evidence is not just found by digging holes in the ground!
