We have started a new topic all about ‘Under the Sea’.
To start off our topic we have been exploring
Similarities and Differences
We have been looking closely at the markings on the Clown Fish. There are lots of other fish that also have stripes.
We talked about the similarities and differences between the stripes. This is what we noticed:
* The stripes are different colours
* Some of the fish have 2 colours and some of the fish have 3 or 4 colours.
* Some fish have more stripes
* Some of the stripes go up and down and some go across the body.
New Vocabulary
We used the words horizontal and vertical to describe these different stripes.
Stripes Are Everywhere
We thought about other animals that we know that also have stripes. We remembered Zebras and Tigers
We noticed that these animals have stripes all over their bodies. We looked for animals that only have stripes on certain parts of their bodies. These are some of the animals we found.
Ring Tailed Lemur – Striped Tail
Okapi – Striped Legs
