This morning, the children got creative and worked collaboratively to create their own earthquake proof buildings. They were given a variety of materials, such as paper, cardboard, plastic, string and sellotape and asked to create a building, which they felt could withstand an 'earthquake'. The children enjoyed the challenge and quickly got to work in their team.

Once the children completed their structures, they tested their buildings to see if they could with stand movement and vibrations. The children quickly discovered which buildings would be the safest to be in and why!
