Music!
This term, in Music, the children have learned how to play the glockenspiel. They have learned the notes D, E,F and G to the tune of Mamma Mia and Mardi Gras Groovin’. They are also beginning to recognise some musical notation! Well done, Year 3 and 4!

In topic this week, the children have worked really hard to create a seismometer. A seismometer is an instrument used to record the motion of the ground during an earthquake. The children worked exceptionally well together as a team - superb efforts, everyone!

Flashback 4!
We’re completing Flashback 4 starter activities at the beginning of every maths lesson. We’re really enjoying them because they help us retrieve information from what we learned: yesterday, last week, last month and last year!
Fabulous Volcanoes
The children could not wait to see their volcano creations erupt. The models were made from paper, tape and Modroc as part of the class topic ‘Tremors'. We used white vinegar and bicarbonate of soda to produce a chemical reaction.
They certainly were amazed to see the result!

Getting creative!
This morning, the children got creative and worked collaboratively to create their own earthquake proof buildings. They were given a variety of materials, such as paper, cardboard, plastic, string and sellotape and asked to create a building, which they felt could withstand an 'earthquake'. The…
