A massive well done to all  our year 6’s! You’ve had a superb week, rounded off with our annual Zumbathon; organised by RAFT.

I just wanted to say a massive well done to the Y6s this morning in tackling the first two of the three maths papers. You have all been an inspiration this week in the way in which you have approached your tests, applied yourselves and given 100% effort throughout.

Well, not quite 80 – not yet anyway! We have had some superb examples of food from around the world; foods to represent different countries, foods from different countries, and foods of the world – including one cake with layered sponge to represent the mantle and the Earth’s core! Amazing work…

What an effort the children made for World Book Day! I was amazed by some of the outfits I saw parading around assembly this morning. Check out our class and class winner below.

This afternoon, the children were treated to an enthralling talk given by Mr Juckes, based on his experiences living in Antractica from 1964 – 66! The whole of Y5/6 fell silent and were utterly mesmerised by his stories, photos and explanations of what life was like for him there. We were so lucky…

The children have had so much fun creating their collages! Make sure you pop in on Friday to take a look at the superb artwork they have created.

Check out these modroc aliens! The children have loved making them and making the mess. These pictures are just  tasters, you’ll have to swing by on Friday after school to see the finish products though…they are worth the wait!

Isobel has spent part of her weekend baking for part of her topic homework. It was utterly delicious and it looked amazing too. Great British Bake Off, step aside!
