We are looking forward to Christmas in Reception and have been enjoying some Christmas themed activities.
Our lego challenge was to follow the design on the photograph carefully to create a Christmas picture.
In the Design Area we have been measuring tubes and cutting them 3 different lengths to create a Christmas Tree. We needed a long one, a medium one and a short one. When we had cut our tubes we had to paint them green and leave them to dry reading for decorating.
In the Playdough Area we have been using our fine motor skills to decorate the Christmas Tree and the Snowman.
At the Games Table we have been working together to build a snowman. We had to roll the dice and find the pieces we needed to build the snowman.
On the Interactive Board we have been drawing Christmassy pictures.
In the Maths Area we have been placing numbers in order to 20.
We have also been finding the missing numbers on number lines.
In the Mark Making area we have been drawing Christmas pictures and having a go at labelling our work.
Some of us even had a go at writing a letter to Santa.
At the Funky Fingers table we have been colouring in the Christmas tree and baulbles then carefully cutting around the baubles and sticking them on the tree.
I am so proud of you all, you work so hard every day.
