Today we have compared Great Ayton to Chembakolli in India.

We looked at videos and picture of the two places to see the similarities and differences between the two towns.

The children noticed many things that were the same and many differences….

In Great Ayton we are very lucky because we have money to buy things, supermarkets, our school, the bakery, fish and chip shop and Roseberry topping.

Chembakolli is very different to Great Ayton. They don’t have running water or electricity. The children have to travel in a jeep in order to get to school, but they do have elephants which they might see on their journey.  The people living in Chembakolli have to carry large amounts of water on their heads every day.

As a class we decided which town we’d like to live in.

Hattie said, ” I would like to live in Great Ayton because my family lives here”

Jayden said, ” I would like to live in Chembakolli because I’d like to see the elephants”

Rosie said, ” I would like to live in Great Ayton beacsue I like the Ice-cream from Stamps”
