It has been wonderful having the children back at school and working so hard. They have returned to school after the Christmas break with a fabulous attitude to learning, motivated to learn new skills and wonderful behaviour.

We have been learning to use coloumn mulitiplication this week. It has been wonderful to see all the children trying hard, helping and supporting each other and even when they have found the concept difficult not giving up.

In topic our task today is to use atlases to locate famous mountains of the world and identify the ranges and continents they can be found in.
We identified the mountain ranges on a map. Finally, we drew on the equator and labelled the Northern and Southern Hemisphere. The children enjoyed locating the mountains in an atlas and then using their observation skills to find it on their own maps. The children helped each other and were fabulous learning partners throughout the activity.

Well done everyone, an amazing start to the year!
