A brilliant start to our culture week. The children were introduced to the Sikh religion when we found out about Guru Nanak. We also wrote about how the Khalsa originated (the Sikh community) and how this is celebrated during their harvest festival of Vaisakhi.  We have begun to make tie dye kites which are flown during the celebrations, made a dish called mango lassi and practised Bhangra dancing.
