We've had another brilliant culture week, learning all about Sikhism and the festival of Vaisakhi. The children were introduced to the Sikh religion when we found out about Guru Nanak. We also wrote about how the Khalsa originated (the Sikh community) and how this is celebrated during their harvest festival of Vaisakhi. We have made our own tie dye kites which are flown during the celebrations, made a dish called mango lassi and practiced Bhangra dancing.
