Lasers and Lights
This week we looked at how light travels and used a laser pointer to demontrate. We watched the light being reflected between the mirrors.
We also looked at how periscopes work.
Finally, we constructed a circuit in order to make illuminated wristbands.

The children had a great time in the wildlife area today - a brilliant way to unwind after SATs!
Wonderful Webdesigns
After the children created their logos, they started to build web pages. They tried to incorporate their logos into their webdesigns.
Creative Logos
As part of our topic 'Tomorrow's World', the children created their own logos to go on their webpage for their imaginary business. They thought about designs that would be memorable and recognisable. I think they look great!

This week in English, the children have been writing a bigraphy about Alan Turing. They were amazed by his life and achievements, and appauled to hear how he was treated just because of his sexuality.

After looking at textile designer, William Morris's work, the children carefully traced his designs and produced these beautiful creations.
Environment Day!
We had a great time today making pictures using plastic bags. They were of the kelp forests which are really important to sea-life. We also made a giant jellyfish using plastic bags.

The Industrial Revolution
After looking at the graphic organiser on the Victorian Industrial Revolution, the children worked in groups to research one aspect. They then presented their findings to the rest of the class so that everyone had a clear understanding of what happened in the Industrial Revolution.
