Planting runner beans
This week we have started to read the story of 'Lob' written by Linda Newbery. The children have already had their imagination captured by the introduction of the character 'Lob', who could be an imaginary friend to Grandpa Will.
Today, we planted our own runner bean seeds, as Grandpa and Lucy did in the story. This first hand experience will help the children next week to write their own set of instructions, which they can use at home to help others plant some seeds.
The children are taking their seeds home in order to watch them grow and hopefully produce some runner beans!!
