What wonderful weather we had today for being busy in the wildlife area!  Thanks to Mrs Rowan, the children hung bird cakes, made charcoal, toasted cinnamon apples and drew charcoal pictures on fabric!

In Literacy this week, the children have been writing newspaper articles explaining what had happened to the children in our text ‘Ice Palace’.  Miss Rumins was very impressed!

Today, the children had the opportunity to have a taster session of ‘A Game of Actual Life’.  Simon Carson was very impressed with the children and they made some very sensible decisions when thinking about saving and spending ‘virtual’ money.

There definitely was magic on Monday and Tuesday this week!  The children performed their play ‘The Button Box’ to a packed audience.  They did an amazing job with outstanding singing, acting and dancing.  The feedback I have had from family members has been fantastic, the children deserved every…

The children are loving their time in the wildlife area at the moment. They have been working with Mrs Rowan and looking at how to make charcoal. Next week, they are going to have a go at drawing on cloth with it.

We are ready!  The children have worked their socks off and they are now looking forward to putting on their production of ‘The Button Box’.  Prepare to be wowed!

There were some fantastic costumes this year for World Book Day.  The children looked great and it looks like David Walliams is our most popular author.

During Golden time, the children are very passionate about getting the most out of our wildlife area. We were surprised by how much of the path and paved area had been covered by soil and weeds. The willow den is nearly finished and we started collecting and sorting wood into kindling and larger…

This week, we have started reading ‘Ice Palace’ by Robert Swindells.  The children wrote kenning poems to describe one of the characters from the book – he isn’t very nice!
