Mrs Murton 2018 – 2019

This afternoon, we enjoyed a very energetic Zumba session…phew!

This week, the children wrote their own non-chronological reports based on an ‘imaginary’ alien.  The children did a fantastic job, with a little help from Mr Murton and his amazing ideas and art work.

This week, we have started work around our text, ‘Cosmic – it’s one giant leap for all boy-kind’.  The children are really enjoying the story and they have already written character profiles about the main character, Liam.

This week, in Science, we looked at how sound travels. We went outside to investigate with ‘telephone cups’.  We found out that when you speak into the cup, the back of the cup vibrates. The vibration extends into the string and the sound waves (or vibrations) move through the string. It worked…

What a lovely way to end our term.  The children made shelters and  bird feeders, and toasted and enjoyed hot cross buns!
