United against bullying!
This week was anti-bullying week and the children came to school on Monday wearing odd socks. We had a special assembly and then thought about how we could unite against bullying. I asked the children: What part will you play?
Writing in role!
This week, the children have been writing both emails and poetry, in role, for work based on the book 'Pig Heart Boy' by Malorie Blackman. For the emails, they had to think about how the characters were feeling and what they would put in an email to each other. I was impressed by the maturity that…
I am warrior
We have been extremely busy this week! Today the children used graphic score to create a piece of music to represent a Roman battle. This week we have also compared a Roman soldier to that of a Celtic warrior. We discussed how well the Romans were trained and protected, which enabled them to…

We are getting really quick at spotting which numbers are missing in number lines and…
Children in Need
We had stacks of fun for Children in Need. We all looked fabulous in our outfits, and we made some delicious Pudsey cake pops!
The Dark
In Literacy, we worked collaboratively to order the main events of our story, ‘The Dark’, by Lemony Snicket.
Then, we worked incredibly hard to retell the story in our own words.
Interesting Investigations
This week we continue our book, Pig Heart Boy, and write a balanced argument about human's receiving hearts from pigs to save their lives. The children came up with many pros and cons and were sensitive to the thoughts of others.
We were really creative and made some abstract artwork to…
