I am so proud of how independently the children are working in Reception.
As I walked around the classroom this morning, I could see lots of children being busy little bees, choosing challenges and completing activities all by themselves.

Look at how busy we have been.

We have been reading the classic fairy tale Jack & the Beanstalk. 

We really enjoyed the traditional version where Jack sells his cow for some magic beans but, we thought the alternative version of Jack and the Jelly Bean Stalk was soooooooo good too.

We had a gigantic surprise when we returned to school today.  Someone had left enormous footprints on our carpet.

Spring Time is here and we have enjoyed seeing all of the beautiful daffodils whilst we are walking to school appearing in gardens and along the road side.

Today we shared the story The Runaway Pea by Kjartan Poskitt and Alex Willmore.

We found this story really funny and thought the little Pea Pods that grew at the end of the story were soooooooooo cute.

We are really enjoying being back together with all of our friends.

I have loved watching the interactions between the children this week, they are so lovely with each other.

I can really tell that they have missed each other so much as my classroom has been full of chatter.
