This week in Literacy, we read some more of 'Holes' by Louis Sachar. The children have been gathering information about the main character, Stanley Yelnats; they have written some amazing character descriptions. 

This week in Literacy, we read some more of 'Holes' by Louis Sachar. The children pretended that they were Stanley Yelnats and wrote a letter home describing what it is like at Camp Green Lake.

For topic this week, the children researched and then produced a non-chronological report about Mexico. The work produced both at home and school has been amazing!

This week we began reading the story 'Holes' by Louis Sachar. I asked the children to write me a description of Camp Green Lake. Most of them are working from home due to the lockdown but I am sure you will agree, these descriptions, and indeed the children, are amazing!

The innovate project for this topic was to find out about the British Heart Foundation and plan how we could raise money for this incredible charity. Great work everyone!

As part of our Blood Heart topic, the children learned about healthy eating. Some of them went home and planned and cooked a healthy meal for their families. Mmmm, delicious!
