We have had a lovely afternoon planting some flowers for the Jubilee.

Our first job was to fill our wheelbarrow with compost and then tip it into our planter. This was hard work and the compost was very smelly

The children had a great time celebrating the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee! In memory of this special occasion, the children planted colourful plants into their class planter. They also made crowns to wear throughout the day! A great time was had by all!

As part of our jubilee celebrations, we each planted some beautiful flowers into a planter. We even made some flags to sit inside of our planter.

This week, we’ve been learning all about Islam and Turkey: we’ve  listened to a story all about Ramadan; sculpted, designed and painted tiles that are found in mosques; created henna hands; baked Coconut Cookies for Eid; tasted delicious dates; painted beautiful ‘evil eyes’; created a fact file…
